The real issue with "electrics" is that range is half in winter...and never, ever the full cliamed range to begin with. The new Ford F150 is supposed to get 250 miles to a charge, but rarely gets more than 150 in ideal conditions...if you tow something, under 100 miles is usually the mark. That's the real problem. No electric vehicle ever delivers the promised range.
@smokeandmirrors4822 жыл бұрын
The real problem is people keep lining up for the new thing that will barely last. If it’s about Mother Earth why don’t they make something that won’t break and won’t end up for scraps or worse.

Now a similar scooter is 1000 to 1500 because of the Constantly advancing technology. It’s going to be sometime before we really see these things come down

Given the load on the grid right now the only vehicle I would even think of buying would be a plug in hybrid. I would want some gas in the tank for the sake of range and extra power if I ever thought about putting more than a passenger weight and sized load in it or behind it.

I used to have a Max II six-wheeler that's basically a smaller version of the Mudd-Ox they show here at 4:20, and - MAN - did I love that thing! Drove it all over the woods of southeast Texas, and even crossed a lake with it (a small one). Unfortunately I also ran it full-speed into a pine tree and broke the fiberglass. Always meant to fix it back up, but never did, and then time & the weather finished it off. Fantastic little vehicle, though! That said, just a few years ago they were going for around 8k - only way I'd pay 45k for one is if I won the lottery or something. I don't even pay that for my cars.

A lot of these tracked vehicles are terribly _underwhelming._ Consider a main battle tank can zip along at 60 MPH, some considerably faster, without throwing their tracks. Heck, even the lowly M113 tracked APC/IFV can move at 30mph with the governor removed. If I were in the market for a tracked ATV I wouldn't touch one that couldn't cruise at 30mph.
