I feel so old right now, I used to watch Marcus Dumsney's Grandfather, Sid Moore, race at the old Parramatta Raceway back in the late 1970s and early 1980s. What a great family history they've blessed our beloved sport with.

Yes. There family has the greatest speedway drivers in Australian history. I cannot believe the how Marcus won that race. He started mid pack and he was just hammer down that whole race. The 70s 80s in the golden age of speedway racing.

I miss Archerfield speedway dearly!! Saturdays nights are boring without speedway! Have to drive to Toowoomba “when” they have sprintcars!

Because at the time that is the numbers that they were using in that race although Marcus took the A1 because he won

I don't understand why there's no appreciable banking on tracks down under?

there's a surprising amount of banking at Archerfield, you just can't see it from this angle, of course it's not at the same as most American tracks but trust me, there's still a decent amount.

@@Ham0807 it's my local track too, I know there's not a lot of banking but at the same time, there is still a decent amount. Not a lot, but its enough. Would be one of the best tracks in the country if it had Toowoomba style banking. Just stand from the pit exit at Archerfield, easy to see the banking there. I also think it's steeper at turns 1-2 than at 3-4 just because of the speed difference and the fact that it's slightly downhill into 1-2

@@Ham0807 yea, keen to get to eastern creek at some stage, wanna check that place out once they sort the drainage system. Gonna suck once Archerfield goes, hope someone rich with a passion for Motorsport comes in a buys it…. Ahem Tony Quinn…. Please… but yea, most of the tracks here would be better if they were 100 meters bigger and a tad more banking.
