Yeah. I think he just forgot to get them, because he was busy dealing with the BC pressure, having been rather rudely kicked out of his brood lord play and then going into infestors, and after a while just wasn't checking, because the timing was so far past and he was getting stuff like neural and still trying to manage the various pokes and warding off BCs and everything. It happens to almost everyone.

Pretty scary to see how close the last fight was, considering soO was only 2/1. People are gonna say "terran whine" but it's the fucking truth, SpeCial would have been destroyed if soO was at max upgrades. So happy to see that BC's are getting nerfed, since clearly we can see they are too strong here. Thx Blizz :)

Necro reply but gotta mention SoO was *1/0* on upgrades, not 2/1. He had only a single upgrade to air attack vs an optimal Terran air army, failed his micro so hard his units were dorito dusted and getting splashed, pointlessly derped in a chunk of broodlords who mulled around 'til they died, and STILL almost won. Zerg have had this level of advantage for large swathes of SC2's life, which is why people started mocking Blizzard's team so hard and joking about a Zerg Cabal. It reminds me of when Raynor first came onto the scene and Special was absolutely smoking him with drops. He took out like 13 hatcheries and a hundred workers while killing army 1 for 1, but Zerg's defensive resilience at the time was so busted that Raynor just slowly outgrew Special anyway and won the match. Everybody was praising Raynor, but all I could think was "Damn, this game is kinda garbage now."

It's almost like having super-tanky, super-high damaging anti-air units that can be built in insane quantities (Corruptors) with high-damage, super-range ground attacks sitting safely behind them (Brood Lords) combined with the best spellcasting unit in the game (Vipers) makes the game an auto-win for Zerg...
