Hey Rich, you’re a great business man and have a great product. As a business, how do you get such efficiency out your crew? Your advice is appreciated.

You have to make the work environment enjoyable to the point that they look forward to getting to work. Nothing worse for an employee to get up in the morning and dread going to work. You will get zero out of them, if they do not like where they work. Treat them with respect. Don't ack like you are better or above them. Get your hands dirty with them when you need to. They know you are not afraid to jump in and help them. Also, lets them know you know what is happening in that shop and can do it, as well. Buy them lunch, take them out out eat lunch, keep on open door policy so they know they can come to you for anything. They need something, you do it for them. Personal or work related. Goes back to them knowing you have their backs, as they have yours. Let them know that it is their house, as much as yours and we protect our home and each other. I make mistakes and when one of my employees makes a mistake, I don't go flying off the handle and ripping ass. We fix it together and hope to not happen again. I can go on and on and on. These guys tell me I am like a Dad to them. And, I cannot put in to words, what I did to make them feel that way. I have had jobs that I hated to get up and go to. I have had bosses that I wanted to punch. I have worked at places where I felt like I did not matter. I want my guys to know I am here for them and they feel the same because I have proved that worthiness to them thru action. Letting them take work generators home during storms, use my shop to work on their car repairs, even paid for the funeral of one's mother in MX. Again, ACTION does speak louder than words. Show your employees you care about them and their family and well being. You will get it back. But, you have to be genuine, sincere, purposeful. FAKE shit will be obvious because it will be like lying. You will eventually show your true colors and they will see it. About All I can say.
