A detached stone townhouse with garden for sale in the spectacular medieval village of Pennapiedimonte, called the balcony of Abruzzo for its privileged position in an area of extraordinary beauty. The village lies on the slopes of the eastern slope of the Maiella at 669 metres above sea level, with houses partly dug into the rock and partly built in local stone, and are connected by steps or narrow streets, often only passable on foot. Only 13 minutes from the centre of Guardiagrele where you can find all essential services including a hospital, 20 minutes from Casoli, another fantastic medieval village, 45 minutes from the Adriatic Sea, 50 minutes from Pescara international airport and about 3 hours from both Rome and Naples.

I am looking for a home in Abruzzo in the next year or so, and it would be great to see what shops or attractions are nearby, what is in the neighborhood within walking distance and also attractions nearby driving. Or to know more about the villages like festivals or foods, if there are a lot of families or just older people. It will be nice to get a feel for different areas before traveling there in person. Thank you!
