INCREDIBLE CLOSE UP Air Panama Fokker 50 (F50) Action at Bocas Del Toro (BOC/MPBO)

Welcome to the beautiful town of Bocas Del Toro on Colon island in Panama. The town located 300km from Panama City near the Costa Rican border, the region has become famous for it's beautiful beaches on the Caribbean Sea.
Bocas Del Toro airport is the gateway onto Colon island, the town is served excessively by Air Panama and the very rare Fokker 50 turboprop aircraft connecting the town to Panama City (PAC); the country's capital.
What makes spotting here very unique is the fact there is a soccer field located at the threshold of runway 27. This gives us spotters an unobstructed view of the entire airport including incredible close up shots of the beautiful F50.

We spent several months on our sailboat in one of the marinas at Bocas. Took several flights in and out on ATR's. to Panama City, downtown.

A rare sight these days. I live in the Netherlands where this beauty was built and there is not a single one left flying here. A few in Sweden that's all I know. Flew on them only twice unfortunately. Great footage!

Quebecair had a few f50 back in the 60,s and 70’s used to fly out of Labrador City to Montreal

In europe (especially Sweden) are many Fokker 50. I think Sweden has actually the biggest fleet in the world
