actually not really.. the cost of maintaining the motor for going forward and backward is not cheap too.. and if there's power outage, the entire moving platform is stuck....

11:30 is the most practical, no mechanical gizmos required, no maintenance required, no dealing with grass/sand particles in the tracks and could be operated by hand!!

You do understand that 95% of the people just NEED the pool, the Board or Slide are just extra's... you could say that about the cover system also, BUT that is super practical less cleaning, less water refreshing... better for the environment and since you barely have to clean... jump in almost anytime you want, instead of planning... OH WAIT tonight we get visitors, then it means the whole afternoon cleaning :/
