Geez! All these people commenting about the materials used and can't even see the beauty and craftsmanship that goes into these homes. There are far worse things happening and you're on here complaining about trees? Get your priorities straight. Shouldn't you be in Portland guarding a street or something? These are amazing works of art that took very skilled workers to make it. Great video!

Massive amount of wood and huge pre-assembly time. While the puzzle house is pretty cool to see, I cannot see this becoming the norm. I didn't see how they do electrical? That said, we really do need to come up with a reliable alternative to sheetrock/mud/tape.

This has to bring the cost of traditional home framing to an all time high. Although, short of an earthquake, a freight train, or an airplane, crashing into it, I can't think of anything that could knock this house down. As a carpenter for over 40 yrs I really like this technique. I would be interested in the offset cost.

Logs are nice, but I still prefer brick. Brick is more durable and requires less maintenance. Brick doesn't burn and it doesn't attract termites, either.
