@Lilac Tortoise You spelled it wrong, it's, "utter CHAMP". ;-) There are a lot of show-boaters in boxing, it's a style in itself. And quite a lot of them, are black. Some people do it to taunt, others do it because of their confidence. So what? He still gave Johnny a whole lot of respect.

@hawd fangaz ... I'm sorry, I see a taller person, but I don't see a bigger person by any means. It's more classy to display it while in the ring. Meaning the showboating was some grade school mentality. I'd never disrespect an opponent that honours me with the fight. When you get hit in the face & head period it affects your brain.. Yes, they are shorter rounds and they don't get hit as much.. But they're also not wearing any gloves.. Imagine Mike Tyson or your favorite UFC fighter smashing you full force with bare knuckles??

Plenty of holes in Bedfords game, including a low gas tank. He does seem to have power but as soon as he encounters a smart fighter who can act. He going to sleep as soon as he starts his taunts.

I agree to a point, but Bedford is very strong physically. It will take an opponent with similar strength, but with better overall athleticism to beat him...he does have some serious holes defensively though....🥊
@willbuck7952

But apparently Barnett has more holes in his game and a lower gas tank because Bedford put an azz whippin on Barnett.

Lou Cipher agreed...or get in the philly shell and shoulder roll dem punches another thing is he’s standing right in front of them punches instead of fighting “half a man” he’s not at an angle at all the easiest punch is one they can’t defend and he standing they getting his shit blew out🤣🤣 no head movement tbh

@philosophyofpolitics4504
@philosophyofpolitics4504 5 жыл бұрын
@@richybanz A philly shell is good when you're a long dude staring down a short dude. You can just lean back and roll your shoulder to block almost everything. Barnet was shorter here. I think his style fine, he just had to keep his hands up during the exchanges. He should've also feinted more.
@richybanz
@richybanz 5 жыл бұрын
PhilosophyOfPolitics true I can agreed there more faints head movement and fists to cheek I could see that being your point...Also James toney mastered to philly shell and he wasn’t y’all and lean towards the highlight of his career started off at 155lbs at 5’8 he was at his heaviest 215 lol so it doesn’t have to be a tall rangy fighter

Great fight the winner deserved it but holy moly that black guy is not afraid of deep water hes sure as hell a winner in my mind and this fight should give him unstoppable confidence.If he can weather the storm that was this fight and he sharpens up his fundamentals he will be able to impose his will on any opponent.
