Yes. Jamaicans all over and in the Diaspora are so proud of how many Jamaicans, especially on the island, have united during and after the hurricane. During and right after the storm, I saw men and a few women who came out with their machetes and chainsaws to chop up fallen trees and clear many roadways in their communities and beyond so that commuters could get on their way. You and the Stone Island Family community delivering water and goods for others in need. People in the diaspora packed boxes of needed items to send home to Jamaica. Some of us, myself included. Thank you for your service. This is a good look for Jamaica. Often times we mainly hear about the negatives. I hope these acts of UNITY will just be the starting point to "HEAL the NATION". Thank you so much.

It is such a joy to see you all working together to help those people who were severely impacted by the hurricane. It teally shows the heart of love for one another Blessings to the man who serves 400 hot meals each day.. My family and friends n the diaspora are doing our part to help by shipping out barrels of goods to charities on the ground in Jamaica. We used to live in Salt River not very far from Rocky Point, a fishing village. After 6:00 in the evening, mosquitos used to come out in swarms. Everyone in Salt River at that time had screen/mesh on their doors and windows to prevent from being bitten up all over or we would not survived living in these places.. We had to go inside after dark. If we were outside for any reason, we would burn a wick called "mosquito destroyer". I've noticed that the houses in Great Bay/Treasure Beach area do not have screens on their windows. Is this a practice that has gone by the wayside in these areas near the ocean?
