My story on how I got on this My friend invited me to go to universal with her and I said yes. The problem was, I hated rollercoasters but I knew universal is a thrill park. We went on the forbidden journey and I’m like okay that was fine. Next we went on the hulk. I didn’t want to seem super scared so I tried not to cry and focused on everything but the ride. When we were all strapped in and it started going up, I was thinking “what have I gotten myself into”. It shot us out and holy crap, it was amazing. We went on everything else in the park that day except for rip ride rockit, dr. doom, and water rides. Now I love rollercoasters. If any of you are scared about going on this ride, don’t be. It’s one of the best things you’ll ever do

If you haven’t ridden this because you are scared, trust me. This ride is so smooth and so fast. You barely even feel the inversions. About a week ago I wasn’t a big coaster guy and was nervous about every ride. This ride changed that for sure. If you haven’t, ride it. You won’t regret it.

Holy crud I just went on this for the first time and it’s one of the most addictive rides I’ve ever been on! We rode it twice but I swear I could’ve gone 5 more times. The nice thing about it is, it’s smooth and almost peaceful in a weird way. I feel like I actually COULD ride it over and over again and still feel okay. Meanwhile I also went on Rip Ride Rocket for the first time on this same trip and it hurt my head so much that after one time I felt like I was done with rides for the DAY.

Is it more intense than the Mummy? I can barely ride the Mummy which is why I’m terrified of the hulk. I’ve heard ppl tell me it’s way more intense and others tell me the Mummy is worse because you don’t feel anything on the hulk.

I’ve always loved Universal so much and was forced to ride the Mummy but it turned out to be my favorite ride. Then was so excited to ride Hagrid’s when it opened and then that was my favorite ride, but after that I felt brave enough to ride Hulk and absolutely loved it! It was my roller coaster (cuz i don’t really count Mummy or Hagrids as “rollercoasters”) I haven’t ridden any others yet but it definitely makes you want to ride every rollercoaster. But now Hulk is my favorite ride at Universal, with Hagrids as a close 2nd.

The speed is just as fun on this as on hagrids and honestly you’re going so fast that the drops don’t even really effect your stomach, and I didn’t believe anyone when they told me this before I rode it, but whenever you go upside down it honestly doesn’t feel any different than the rest of the ride. Plus, there’s hardly any times on the whole ride that you can actually see how high up you are. It’s so much fun 🙂

For those of you who are scared to ride it. Just know, only the first launch is what you feel. After that, it’s smooth from there. I’m being dead serious. You don’t feel the loops, or the giant hills much because your already going the speed. It’s like when you speed up in a car- you feel if for a few second but then your body gets used to the speed. So go and give this a shot.

I feel the biggest part of the ride for me was that first roll when you get shot out the tunnel, the inversions felt incredible but nothing hits more than that first launch!
