Omg I wanna conceal that paper thin speaker in the wall of somebody's house and make them think their house is talking to them. Sneak in to an open new construction house in the punch out phase and plaster over it with drywall mud. Plant wires in advance of the drywall to be accessed by a drill hole through the outer wall. Say next to an outlet box with a closable lid. That way I can sneak over at night and connect the wires to the output of a walkie talkie that I communicate with from a distance with seperate one. Then hide the WT in the outlet box.

The battery changing technology has probably missed it opportunity to dominate the EV market. With ever decreasing fast charging times, the rise of home charging, EV driving range increases and car roof solar panel charge top ups, the future outlook for battery swapping looks grim.
@johntowers1213
@johntowers1213 10 ай бұрын
Its really only a fair weather idea if you ask me...anyone designing a battery swap system thats *underneath* a car has never worked underneath a car in their life. add in mud snow road grime salt and anything else you can think of that ends up under a car, than on top of that throw in all the impact damage that part of the car takes on a day to day and you've a nice recipe for an incredibly unreliable system when scaled up to a national level.. I'm sure it works great in their test cars...but in the real world its not going to fly

@@rhettoracle9679 Ok..That is why we are working to eliminate the fossil fuels for electricity generation. Are you unaware of all the renewable tech that is being created? Its pessimists that complain about the obvious stupid stuff who come off sounding like paid trolls acting like we have no other choice but to use fossil fuels. We could move a lot faster if fools in the congress would stop blocking the green new deal. It would happen over night if we made lobbing/bribery illegal.

There is no way the battery replacement business will ever be viable, the biggest hurdle to buying an electric car is the battery degradation, in about 10 years it will either explode or be unable to hold a charge, sand your telling me a company will take on replacing batteries for the price of filling up a tank of gas?

1) 3D Printed shoes. Yes thank you for destroying another industry that employees people. And what happens when normal people won't be able to afford to buy new ones? 2) Ample. You will have a problem when petroleum will be banned. Plastics that are parts of the car won;t be made anymore. What about the lubricants that cars need to run or the fuel that you will need to recharge them? 3) Eco-runner 13. Do you seriously think anyone will want to buy something that ugly and that small? Funny. (Not enough to run a business on that is for sure.) 4) Bombora mWave. The only problem i see is the lose of energy at each transfer junctions that will be needed to get these offshore far enough to make sense. That is unless they have something over them to prevent interaction with a lot of things that needs to be discussed. 5) Phoenix robot. There are a lot of things that can be discussed about this. (And of course the Terminator will come up in it as well.) 6) The sixth finger. The true beginning of of robot prosthetics. A new arm, a new leg? 7) Rescue drones. It can pick 5 pounds. It is a good idea for searching but nothing else. The weight capability need to go up a lot. If it could carry between 50 to 80 pounds. it could bring supplies that would make a rescue easier. And at least would be able to bring in food, water, medical supplies, survival equipment and more things needed. But this is a good first start. 8) A computerized suspension system. Talk about not what you are talking about. there are already suspension kits that can handle more than 800 horses, cost less than this and with zero computers there is no need to worry about electronic failures later. And for the last one you are going to put computers and hydraulics on a car's most beaten contact area? With normal use you would have to replace it at cost at least twice a year. 9) Dock bumpers. This is a good idea. 10) A sled board. I don't know if it will replace what is already used. and everyone that does this in pro competition would have to relearn their skills that have spent how long getting to in the first place. 11) The Rhino-mec. People have been waiting for this since at least the mid-eighties if not longer. A there will be people that will want one. 12) A paper thin speaker. And it would be very delicate too.

@DavidWadeRalston
@DavidWadeRalston 10 ай бұрын
That’s a misconception. Electric vehicle motors are so much more efficient than gasoline engines that even if an EV were powered by coal, it would produce less pollution per mile driven than a combustion engine. Combustion engines waste 70% of the energy they consume, turning it into heat rather than forward momentum.
@The_Void_
@The_Void_ 10 ай бұрын
@@DavidWadeRalston i understand your stance on it. But bottom line is ev still has a long way to go before its the main thing ppl WANT to use. The fires these cars can start from minor accidents cant be put out by firefighters. So accidents are gunna be tricky to deal with and maintain. The Nickel in those batteries have to have a giant mining operation to extract from the earth. Using fossil fuels to get it. They destroy and decimate more ecosystems with mining than they do suckin/ fraking oil outta the ground.
