@@ZYNX-evo I'm sorry, I answered you too aggressively. The fact is that I am studying art history, and it hurts me when any modern art is not only underestimated, but generally not considered art. Although it's true, half of this art is crap. A short footnote for you without details: throughout the history of mankind, art simply imitated nature, right up to the industrial revolution that took place all over the world. Nothing has changed for centuries, but there have been huge shifts in science and technology, the whole old world has ceased to exist, the postulates of faith and conservatism are no longer relevant, so people moved from realism to abstractionism (one of the first was Kandinsky). Cameras appeared, there is no one else to surprise with a realistic picture of nature. Especially in the 21st century, where everyone has a phone, in a museum you will pass by a picture of nature, and a conditional pile of garbage will attract attention, make you think. It should be provocative.

Please learn from me, vain children. Art is a background, not a beautiful picture. Yes, what the last man did is art, but it is not limited to that. If art was only painting the Mona Lisa, sculpture would not be art, neither would theatre. All art has concepts, even paintings, and this applies to any action. The video of the guy jumping and scratching the wall has concepts like: keep trying, keep improving, and you will get different results. The point is that there are two types of art: Those that have a concept and those that don't. The last painting of a city fits into the type of art without concept, which we use to evaluate this: what does this artist mean by this? he just wants to show me a beautiful landscape, for pure aesthetics that means there is nothing there but beauty. The meaning of art is literally human expression. If you draw in your notebook in a boring class, you are not an artist, you are a designer.

That fly cube was honestly pretty cool in my opinion. Idk what it's supposed to represent (if it's even supposed to represent anything) but the sheer dedication put into that thing is impressive as hell. Making and transporting something so detailed made with something as delicate and difficult to find in such good condition as dead flies is impressive and admirable. Edit: y'all, this piece classifies as taxidermy. Taxidermy can be an art. I interpreted it as the artist really trying to push the bounds (which I'm always a sucker for) of what you can do with bug taxidermy specifically, and coming up with a threaded, suspended piece.

That last one resonates with me a lot actually. You starts off with blank canvas, you put inks and paints onto a canvas, then it becomes art. The showcases on the first halves are focused in the action of making art, not the result. While the idea was to praise the process of making art, it doesn't make a good result. On the other hand, the process is filmed, the action almost seems to the first half, but it wasn't messing around. There is a start and an end, and the transition from blank to night city painting was as if he gave life to the once inanimate canvas. Being an artist, I doubt myself a lot of times whether or not if I can even make something beautiful, and it takes way to much time to even finish one piece of art. So much so that I gave up on some of my projects. But when it did, a sigh of relief, an idea from my head projected to reality. And then I keep going. I remember once, where my teacher said "it's not action that determines the result, but the quality of action that do". These modern art showcase was about action, but art isn't just about action. That's why, at least to me, throwing paints wildly on that canvas means a lot more than slapping butter across the floor, or sticking a banana up on a wall.

Modern art cannot truly be seen as art from the old perspective of beauty because it represents a fundamental shift in what art aims to achieve. Where classical and traditional art, including the work of masters like Van Gogh, often sought to capture beauty, emotion, and a recognizable reality, modern art moves beyond these boundaries. It challenges the very definition of art, emphasizing ideas, concepts, and innovation over aesthetic appeal. Thus, modern art and classical beauty are part of different artistic paradigms. I myself do not consider “trashing” art.
