Just subscribed! Great video!....I was considering the Minelab Xterra Pro but now the Simplex Plus has me reconsidering. Just one question....Can wired headphones be used with the Simplex Plus? Thanks!

Yes, there is a small adapter you can buy from Nokta (few bucks) that you attach to the charge port and plug in your headphones np! The Ultra is a great machine and build really well. Check and compare product details.

Put a sheet of paper between the quarter and the nickel. You will get a different result. For sure.

So, it detects quarters but not nickels? no nickels, no gold rings.. Not sure what that proves exactly 🤷

Trash items are low conductors LIKE NICKELS. The detectors can pickup the high conductor under the low conductors. Watch the video again and look at the settings and think outside of the box. This test is for low conductors over high conductors.

The nickel reflects a lower conductive target like trash. If you want to spend a day digging trash to find a nickel...that's up to you. Not every site has a gold ring either, but almost every site has a lot of trash waiting for your to dig up. The test is to detect higher conductive coins in iron trash...like silver and copper. You will waste an extreme amount of time digging trash to find a gold ring...IF...there is one in the first place to find. High value and rare coins are also lost more often than gold rings.
