Porro hasn't been the same since the Burnley game. For some reason since we got all our players back we've lost our way. When we had all of those injuries we played well even in defeat. I don't know who else notices this

For me it’s when the wingers have to be so close to the line. Kulu, johnson and Son can’t link up as well. When Kane, Son, Kulu played they had probably the best link up trio that season we got champions league football. That was because Kulu and Son used their strengths which was to move more freely and not sticking on the sideline.

I guess the talk of Romero to be a Number 6 and Dragusin to earn his place on the spot he's most suited for should come under attention. It's literally the best of both world: Romero can provide assist from the defense or offense sides but he's literally can be the core for our defensive backline when we needed it, can also comfortably rotate with Dragusin's spot as well if he (Dragusin) ever get caught too forward.

Exactly I agree, but why doesn't Ange find ways to get Dragusin in his comfortable RCB position and utilize his physicality and strength to help us defensively with set pieces, he is very good at defending using his head and has a big physical presence that could help Vicario from being totally man handled! Also he is very good at moving the ball forward from the backline and has good long ball distribution. And he could link up with Romero in the 6 and Romero can use his strengths there which are far better then others as of now!

5 for Vicario is being too lenient, he shd'nt get bullied by White,or at least he shd've come out in time for some of those crosses! Or rather could've called one of the defenders for help! Romero, motm,superb display, on another lucky day Romero could've come away with a hat-trick. VDV was another excellent performance. Unfortunate to have his' goal 'disallowed! If I was a PL keeper, I'd get a red card elbowing tools like Ben White to the ground. I think the EPL allows a total mess in the box which is surely confusing Vicario. It's why I don't think Kulusevski's was a penalty, not enough there. In the EPL box, no autopsy/no foul.

Very strange ratings for our 2 central defenders. They are also responsible for goals scored against us especially from set pieces. Why weren’t one of them making Havertz? Also vAn De Ven does these recovery runs because he is caught out of position so much. So he is recovering from his own positional mistakes. The rating for Ange should be O. He really needs to change the tactics based on the opponent. You can not possibly play the exactly the same way whether you play Man. City/Arsenal and the likes vs sheffield united.. This is a recipe for disaster. And please someone tell me why put Hoijberg instead of Sarr or Bissuma? Sorry but how are the goals we conceded due to tactics ? We did gave arsenal a good game and we created more than enough to win this game. We lost because we didn't score our chances and because of our set piece vulnerabilty. That problem has to be solved but it's not a tactical issue. Son kept making run, only Porro sent the ball to him once. The transition was too slow from midfielders, especially madison slowed down the link up play. Arsenal defenders closed the space quickly.

Reactive fans using only the eye test for player performance in the comments as usual. Son is still outperforming his XG this season for goals. If you gave Son the opportunities that Haaland, Darwin Nunez and Nicolas Jackson have had, he would easily be pushing 25+ goals at the rate of his usual XG. Simply put, he doesn't get enough service of the ball. Son is on the top 10 list for goals scored but outside the top 10 for shots and big chances missed. If he is getting the service and is not converting, I could see a reasonable argument but that's not the case.

Whatever sport you play you must keep on your feet to stay in the game. With Saka's goal Spurs had two players on the ground with Madders playing for a penalty/foul (which he did on a number of occasions in the game). Having Mickey staying back to cover deep with his pace surely would help with opposition long balls.

Vicario was weak. White bullied Vic all the time. Why didn't we know this was going to happen?. White does this every game. We should have had someone on him from the start. Sarr did it in the second half, but it was just naive. Very poor. Just one good save and some very weak goal-keeping. We were terrible at set pieces, and Ange ignoring this problem is ridiculous. Romero gets a 10 from me. He was extraordinary. He became a centre forward for some periods of the game. Huge defensive work, and he should be the model for everyone. VdV did pretty well - great speed, and outran everyone several times. Ben struggled but he worked hard, Saka ALWAYS comes inside and shoots to the left of the goal. He's done it 100 times. Apparently we didn't know this, and we let him do it again. Astonishing lack of research and preparation. PEH was OK but I have no idea why he was picked. The own goal was ridiculous. Bentancur was great to start with but faded. Madders was terrible. I'd give him a 2. Kulu was terrific. Worked like hell and helped us a lot. No finished product, however. Sonny was poor. One of this anonymous games where he doesn't do much. The major blame must lie at Ange's door. Poor tactics. Strange personnel choices, especially Hojbjerg. He fails to deal with set pieces. He's dug his heels in and says we don't need a specialist coach when everyone from God to the dog next door can see we desperately need one. In fact, as Ben said in one of the videos, we dominated the game, and should have won easily. Two hopeless gifts and they are 2-0 up. It was laughable. We could have had at least one more penalty and possibly two. Sonny could have scored a couple of times. We dominated them most of the time. Just failed to take our chances and made childish mistakes. Hard to watch at the moment.

Romero was outstanding on the ground, but poor in the air considering he missed 3 headers in offence. Hojbjerg (soley responsible for 1st goal), Davies (almost caused an earlier goal, soley responsible for 2nd goal) and Maddison had awful, awful games. Van de Ven and Vicario were just too weak in the air and got outmuscled and outjumped for the 3rd goal. Things improved a lot when Hojberg and Madders came off, Deki went to no.10 and Son went wide, something I said should have happened at half time.

imo, we play too high up the pitch,this compresses the other side and they camp in their own half,parking the Bus. This leaves no room for Madders to operate in and he's playing too deep to get some space, instead of just behind Son. Son, one of the fastest and best forwards in the world but turned into a bit part player because he cant use his pace to sprint onto through balls. Vdv should have played left back imo to cover Sakashit, the goons use HIS strength to attack and just lob balls over the top for him to run onto. Poor Davies never stood a chance, why was vdv not told, when we attack, stay left to stop a Sakashit counter attack. Set pieces, our defenders are all standing in the middle of the goal or near post , they are standing at the far post, running in (giving more height to jumping rather than being static) and we had no idea where they were. We were the better side, we were let down with naive schoolboy defending at set pieces (cant blame Hojberg for the first goal). We were robbed by a ref who missed a blatant pen when Rice kicked Davies up the arse and we had to rely on var to get the pen. The ref also missed the ankle tap on clueless-seski which was also a pen! Our tactics were poor against a better than average goon side, I think we should adopt their tactic for corners offensively, running in from the back post. As for marking Vic 5, not commanding his box enough but made some good saves Porro 6, defended ok but not many attacks, Romero 8 missed some chances ,conceded 3 goals but dragged the team forward by the scruff of the neck and a great goal. VDV 7 another good display of pace and defending, a goal that should have stood but Gabriels shorts were too tight, holding his arse in. Davies 5 did ok but Sakashit was too quick for him to be high up the pitch.Clueless-selski 7 ,too predictable, a better display than his recent ones but still not good enough. Bentancur 5 not showing his early form ,still injured? Hojberg 6, unlucky for the goal but at least he got to it, fairly solid in the midfield. Madders,5 playing too deep and Ange's tactics stifle him and the teams strength Werner 4 a poor display again, we shouldnt buy him, has pace but no end product. Son 5 stifled by silly tactics against a strong defensive and organised side. Ange 4, had two weeks and still didnt sort out defending set pieces, change your tactics against better sides. Overall pleased we didnt get pumped by 5 goals or more , a long long way to go but considering we havent got Harry (who helped defending set pieces as well as scoring a goal or two) we are going in the right direction.

Issue is teams have worked out how to play us... low block, dont press, hit on the counter with balls over the top of the inverted fullbacks. This renders Biss worthless as it takes away his dribbling when people dont press him like they did start of the season. Renders Son worthless at the 9 as he has no space to run into. To beat the low block we need good crossers, good headers and good long range shooters. Richy to Cf solves the heading, son to lw amd Romero to the 6 solves the long shooting, Dragusin at cb solves our heading from corners both defensively and offensively

Davies did win us the penalty, he had to be there, thought he did ok, anyone would have struggled 1 on 1 with Saka. I agree that Son is only a shadow of himself these days and unfortunately our most dangerous forward was Romero and that says it all. We need to sell Son and Richarlison and completely refresh the attack with young dynamic forwards.

My issue with Ange is that none of the things he says about mastery of his system equaling success is coming to pass - in fact the opposite - our players seem to be regressing the longer they play it. Make no mistake this is a high quality squad - we should be able to get more out of them than we are

We have no midfielders in form, so hard to pick a good midfield right now. This affects both the attackers and the defence, but doesn’t excuse the disgraceful defending of set pieces. Add in Son should be on the left and we need a top striker again. Johnson has been doing better, but Kulusevski has been so frustrating for a while now. Was better on Sunday, but took too many people on many times and lost the ball.

Shouldn't we think about the big picture? Vicario has been so poor especially in set pieces. He has been struggling even in catching the ball. He gets bullied too easily and he cannot put in a proper ball over the top. He keeps on passing to the defenders. His mistake led to the corner which resulted in the 1st goal. The reality is that he isn't good enough for a side who are hoping to challenge for the title in the future. Should look for a brave and a proper ball playing goalkeeper in the Summer transfer window.
