Very good video. Bascially shows that someone can convert their CH160 into the vertical CH170 style. By purchasing the base plus the air panel. They just miss out on the digital display. Some people won't care about. DeepCool is sure doing some very interesting stuff.

A Micro-ATX version of this would be much better for compatibility and ease of build, and a worthy competitor to Asus AP201 or Lian-Li Dan A3, which are not too big even if m-atx. It is the design of PSU placement that creates all the difference from traditional cases.

@@shooby02 I switched to Lian Li A3 to make the most out of my old b650m setup and make some room for 4090 in the future. CH170 is damn beautiful but in my case, not practical.

@@dangtoeic For me too the CH170 is not very suitable for my office. I bought one with shelves, it was supposed to be a space saving solution, but the downside is that I have less space for a case. The CH160 fits perfectly in one of the niches of the shelf.

In deepcool's website it says you can also install 2 x 120mm fans on the side (facing MB) . But looking at your video, I don't see any brackets where a 120 fan can be attached except for the side where you attached the radiator for your aio.

The bracket was taken out and they didn't bother putting it back when they changed over to a glad panel

Looking at the website and other CH170 build videos, looks like you are only provided a pair of brackets. You can either choose to install the fans on the side or on the rear.

It's likely what they had laying around the shop to make this build for the video. These channels don't go out and buy new parts for every video. Notice the wall of parts on the back wall. Or in any channel like this that has a million boxes of PC parts behind them.
