Looks like a great place! Thank you for bringing this to us. Especially for us who will never get to see it in person. Sitting in the middle of United State it's not likely that I'll be dropping into New Zealand. Although it's very beautiful from what I've seen on video

The First time I visited this yard was around 1969/70, looking for parts for my 1934 Chrysler Airflow. I was so overwhelmed by what was there that I found nothing that I could use. Earlier today I drove past the yard on my way back to Wellington from Hamilton. I wanted to stop, but I didn't and wanted to be home again, but promised myself I would go back there in a few weeks time. Fortunately, I found your video here on You Tube and that means that you have in fact saved me $120 in gas for the return trip and a day hobbling about the yard with a walking stick. So I have thank you very much for saving this old man a lot of bother and expense. But I do need to know if they have any parts for my 1939 Oldsmobile, perhaps an email will clear that up for me.LOL I hope you enjoyed your stay her in this country.

Amazing place, well worth a visit, especially if you like a bit of rust. The contrast betrween the rusty browns and the green grass on a wet days is fantastic if you have a good camera. Two visits, one on the way up north, another on the way back a couple of weeks later, I took several thousand photos between both visits, one a wet day, the other a bright sunny day.

Hasn't changed since the 1970's when my friends and I would often visit in search of parts to keep our old cars going . We would turn up with tools and wander around the collection of vehicles in search of a starter motor , a generator or whatever , remove it from the wreck and go to the office to negotiate a price . Apart from the later model of wrecks out in the yard , it hasn't changed .

First went there in 1965 with my Dad,looking for tires for the 1932 Chevy the family had (7000 miles on it in 1965!) .They didn't have any 18 inch tires but directed us to a bloke who had an old wreck with good tires on ,the car was tipped on it's side and we scored the wheels off it. An Auburn ....ooops!. There were cars there back to the 1900's when we went there.
