On November 30, 2013, the M-1 Challenge 44 tournament was held in Tula, within its framework there will be a fight between two young fighters who have so far defeated everyone who met on their professional path - Jose Verdejo (Spain) with a record 7-0 fought against Maxim Divnich (Alexander Nevsky), whose record was 6-0
20-year-old Spanish talent Jose Verdejo was considered one of the brightest representatives of the young generation of fighters from the Pyrenees. He has the titles of the champion of the Canary Islands in boxing and Muay Thai, as well as the title of the champion of Spain in MMA. Having won all seven of his professional fights, Verdejo came to Russia to conquer new heights in mixed martial arts. Verdejo gladly agreed to play against the young drummer Maxim Divnich, expecting that this fight will be an excellent test for both of them.
His opponent had made his debut in professional mixed martial arts tournaments a year earlier with winning the White Rex Grand Prix - Spirit of the Warrior, for which Maxim had to win 4 victories in one evening, participating in knockout bouts. After that, two more successful battles were held with Russian opponents, and for the first time Maxim had to test his strength against a foreign fighter. Like all the students of Eduard Shirobokov, Maxim was distinguished by good striking technique and a real fighting character.
The two undefeated prospectors clashed in a duel that was later named the best fight of that tournament and one of the best fights in M-1 in 2013.
