Thank you so much for your detailed review. My bow for my vertical viola just broke so I'm looking for temporary cheap 3/4 cello bow just to make it by until I can save up for a nicer one. Did you happen to get the extra tension version? I'm worried about the bounce and unwanted skipping.

It looks like a sacrilegious baroque bow.😂 The sacreligious bow makes your violin sound more metallic. Since I have a cheaper bow, I get what you mean by grit and it being not smooth. When playing on my teachers bow and some of my other teachers bows, since theirs are more expensive and of higher quality, they don't feel gritty. You could use it outside and when playing pieces using alot of spiccato or ricotchet. cool review doe :D

Which weight option did you get? I read that they have a high tension option for "traditional" weight that have less bounce. I am looking at this because I heard they are good for electrics.

Yeah, playing outside . . . that's just about it . . . maybe use it to play with your kids in the sandbox : ) Regardless of the supposed quality of sound, a player has to ALSO enjoy the aesthetic of an instrument or a bow and, I'm sorry, but this thing just DOESN'T cut it. You get what you pay for and believe me, this can't come near the aesthetics NOR the sound of a good pernambuco or high quality CF bow. I don't think it will gather "steam" . . . thank GAWD! lol

@@juliejules7780 you can try it of course . . . but my advice? don't bother - and if you DO buy one, you will be stuck with it for the rest of your life LOL NO ONE will EVER want to give you even a BUCK for it LOL I don't know how much the thing is being sold for but you'd be MUCH better off putting that hard earned cash toward a REAL bow - ALL the best! David
