Crank is one of the best incremental games I 100% recommend it. It's takes a while to complete and has a deep story

I would add that my favourite subgenre is what I'm going to dub the scrolling idler. So imagine Streets of Rage, but your character auto fights and scrolls through the levels, and all you do is level him up and spend his cash etc. Stuff like that makes it fun to watch as well as play.

Today i have learned that Deep Town is literally every type of incremental games Unfolding (you get only 1 laser to mine at the beginning) Civilization builder (well, i think bots count too...) Cookie clicker (you get resources by mining (clicking)) Progress bar (it has progress bars to smelt, craft, etc) Clicker heroes (there is not only lasers to mine, there are 2 types of bots and there are elders(bosses)) Polynomial growth (you get resources by mining and while crafting you get a more powerful laser than the basic)

War Clicks is a great substitute to Adventure Capitalist… With its own mathematics and connection with the other world of War Zone it seems that they have caught something unique in this genre! I’ve been playing it for months now!

Woah you made Antimatter Dimensions? I used to play that game almost every single day, I got so addicted I even downloaded it on my ex's phone and then she got addicted for a short while. It was also a great game I played during my classes in high school (Idle games got me through high school, no lying there.)

It's interesting how nobody talks about tossing games, they are very incremental at their core. Burrito Bison is a perfect example with prestige mechanics and prestige mechanics beyond the previous ones.

AdCap wasn't the first incremental game to use progress bars, I believe that award goes to "Progress Quest", which was released (and popular) over ten years prior to AdCap.

I got a request for your Antimatter Dimensions game. Try putting a "Upgrade" tab. Effects: Like, (since IP is so easy to get) Upgrade dimension 1 by x1.1, Upgrade dimension 2 by x1.1 and so on. There may also be a Upgrade all dimensions (Excluding time and infinity dimensions) by x1.02 instead. Costs: Every single upgrade will start at 1 IP. This is the formula of the IP cost increase: (P.S. I am not good at complicated maths. Sorry, I am just a kid who loves your game and wants to suggest something) (UpgradeLevel(*1.12) and Upgrade all dimensions: (UpgradeLevel(*1.24)

How about a multiple archetype game? Like you have more than one "games" in one with progress in any affecting all. One might be clicker heroes archetype clickfest, other polynomial growth idlehevi one and yet diffirent one being a civilixation builder. When you get stuck in one uoy push in a diffinert one until you get enough bonus to pregress in the previous. kindla like "buffing" stuff in realm grinder or antimatter dimensions but more interesting. I'm not meaning idleplex.

Yes, I'd call that a "pattern builder" game. At first, I thought that City Inc would be like that, but it was not. Still a great game, tho. From a certain point of view, pattern builders are some kind of SimCity relatives; you spend cash build something that generates cash, then spend that cash to improve the cash flow, either by building more stuff, build better stuff in its place, or fund R&D to make stuff better or unlock better stuff. It cuts down on the SimCity idea of population, so your buildings usually start working as soon as you build them.

I don't think you know what an incremental game is. Unfolding games are incremental games. When a game is incremental, it means that the game itself incrementally grows in the ways you access the world and content. Said differently, they are games that unfold more the longer you play them. Most of the other games you talk about are just variations of RPGs.

Greg Kritzman I don't think YOU know what incremental game is. Incrementals have some number that's incrementing, or to put it simply, growing numbers. Also if were to actually play those games you would know that they have little to no similarities with RPGs.
