Kudos to the eldest son for stepping up and helping his mom out. The dad is a slacker and the fact that he doesn’t help at all irks me

Dad is literally the defination of "man child" not helping his wife. Even tho he work's she does too. Even mom need to stop excusing his lazy ass. It so frustrating even tho she is sick she has to do all thing by herself while her husband seat around like a king and she works like a servants. She need to treat her eldest like a child not like soms helper. This thing I'm most scared of being a "single mom" in a marriage. And they all need to stop saying "fifth child" he is her husband and he has to STEP UP NOW!!!!

everyday the father fails to defend himself i actually hate him thats insane like she got sick and still the dude doesnt know how to take care of the children

@@sariadrich9717 don’t feel bad for her. She did this. Feel bad for the son. The poor child was brainwashed by mom into believing that it’s his responsibility to take care of her and his other siblings. She doesn’t let her husband do anything; just the son. She is only fake complaining on the show.

If, god forbid, mom passed from illness Dad would immediately expect the children to look after HIM and not the other way around. The oldest child would not be allowed to have a future, because his dad would force him to take all responsibility for his siblings and claim child owes him for bringing him into the world and feeding him. That type of man is why there’s a male loneliness epidemic. Men abandon sick wives at very high rates. Men just want a caretaker, not to be one. But four times more men are abandoned in retirement homes because while women act as caregivers for each other as they age, men don’t look after other men. They do the bare minimum for their children and the children are unwilling to give them any more than they received growing up.

@@JoyceLynn-je7ny his wife allows him to be this way. She never required him to actively participate in parenting. She gave that job to her 17 year old son. She essentially robbed her son of his childhood and turned him into her husband. Her husband gets to drink and sleep in.

I dont think the mom purposely intend to do so either. There's a lot of time when kids become mature like this due to their surrounding. Specialy if one of their parent or both doesnt act like a 'parents'

Mom allowed her husband to behave badly from the beginning and made all sorts of excuses for him. She treats her oldest son like he is her husband and gives him the responsibilities that she should have given to her husband. That is 100% wrong and is solely her fault. Her son is not allowed to be a teenager because she has given him the role of a caretaker for her and his siblings; the job of her husband. She has her husband lying in bed when he should be up helping her with the kids. He seems to drink every night and comes home drunk. Her excuse is that he has to go to company meetings because he is the head of her agency. She enables his behavior. I really want the oldest to go far away to college and let Mom deal with the mess that she helped to create. She wanted those children, so she and the man she chose to marry should look after them. If the son stays close by, he is going to have a hard time finding a wife. No woman will want a mother-in-law who is so dependent on their child for everything. It will be too burdensome. Plus, the young man seems to be brainwashed into believing that he has no choice but to take care of Mom and his siblings instead of Dad doing it.

@@JL-jm7why should he when he has a wife who enables him in his laziness? When she wants something done she calls her 17 year old son instead of her husband. She has to change her behavior or he won’t change his. I hope the son moves to another country.

THE WIFE SHOULDNT HAVE TO CALL FOR HER OWN HUSBAND. ITS THE HUSBAND WHO SHOULD BE HAVING HIS OWN INITIATIVE TO HELP HER. While I do get and understand that she is too reliant on her eldest son which should change cuz he’s still only her son, you can’t blame her for that when her good for nothing lazy husband doesnt do shit even when she tells him things to do. Thankfully the eldest son is kind enough to help, however the husband shouldve been the one to do it. Its so wrong to put all the blame on her. She’s a pushover I tell you that, but don’t act like its her entire fault. The fault is more on her own husband

@ I will say it again. It’s her fault. She married a lazy man. Then she decided to have multiple children with him. Yes, she said she wanted to have all those children. If he didn’t help with the first and the second ones, she surely knew by then that he was not going to help with the subsequent children. Also, the oldest didn’t have a choice. She made him responsible for her and his siblings. She let the husband come in drunk nightly, sleep in and then have the oldest son running around like her husband. That’s on her. It’s her husband. If she needs help and she doesn’t want her husband to assist her, then she should hire a nanny and housekeeper and let her poor son live a teenager’s life. The husband does nothing because she allows him to do nothing. He may have been raised in a family where the male child is not allowed to do household chores or childcare. That is possible. Regardless, she married him, so she needs to stop treating her son like he is her husband and the father of her other children.
