A few of those races were tight! Good stuff!! Gen2/3/4 F-bodies are definately the ride of choice at ye olde spectator drags these days. I just wish each race was 2 laps and 3 laps for final.

Wish there was a longer straight where faster cars car build some speed before the last 2 turns but hands down one of the best shows you can watch here in YT, no pit stops or crews just pure racing. I'm amazed cause this event looks to have more people come then to an official IMSA race, specially if you factor in the size of this oval.

@@BBob33524 As far as the advantages, exactly the same. Quicker off the line, quicker acceleration, and better handling into the corners at full throttle. Make them FWD (like my ST) and torque steer/understeer like crazy, they'd lose ^_^

This was a thrill show event. The spectator drags is the opening event. They also run car and truck enduro races, an all female race, and figure 8. About 5 hours of racing. This track has other more organized race events. Check them out if your ever in SE Massachusetts. seekonkspeedway.com

Theres a huge advantage to any AWD...if its 'open' to anyone, thats one thing..alls fair in love and war, but if there are rules against AWD, the win is void and the Fbody wins. Go Chevy! I commented because I heard it was a rule that I thought was based on 'advantages' to 4WD vehicles..but its a safety thing. So the Evos and other AWDs are legit and its every car for themselves. A 4WD truck is much more likely to lose control with its advantage of faster take offs and corner speeds, so i get it now. No hate for the AWDs, just wanted to be sure it wasnt rules for some but not others XD

@@kampfire. still a silly statement..there are PLENTY of US vehicles that handle as good or better than many foriegn cars. Id say to agree to your statement, it would be more accurate to say there are a lot of American DRIVERS that don't know how to handle their RWD cars and distribute weight using the accelerator and brake pedals properly. A lot of these guys don't read the corners accurately and gas it into the apex or a dip...the car unloads coming out of it and is off balance. A smaller AWD car will allow its driver to be less skilled and it'll do more of the work. I bet a good driver in any of these cars that spun out or nearly lost control could outrun the average 'foreign' car in the same race.
