Happy new year Sapna ji. I am from dehradun. I would suggest you to check GTM forest lavana mohkampur society. You will easily get 2/3 bhk flats in affordable price for rent. I can help If you want to buy in the best price as i own a flat there so know the builder. This location is not very far from the city. Its near upcoming pacific mall and has all the necessary facilities like school, hospitals, bank, po, supermarket. Pacific golf estate would be very far if you plan to travel to other parts of dehradun frequently and public transportation is not good in that area.

Hi Sapna. This is Anurag from Delhi. After having considered Chandigarh, Goa and Mysore, my wife and I (along with our 8-year old son and my mother) have finally decided to move to Dehradun, so as to leave Delhi’s pollution behind. We recently visited the city and have rented out an unused/brand new 4BHK + Study Room + Servant Room Flat in Pacific Golf with fabulous views of the mountains. Although like you, we too will be moving in March after our son’s school exams, but we still rented out two months earlier because we didn’t want to let go of a 4BHK + Study Room + Servant Room unused/new flat. The reason we chose Pacific Golf is as follows: as far as the city goes, we didn’t find Dehradun anything special. It’s like any other city and we in fact found it quite crowded with narrow streets. For instance, it pales in comparison to Chandigarh with its wide roads and boulevards, planned infrastructure and abundance of parks. But with Pacific Golf, since it’s on the outskirts of the city, we get to live away from the city and still have all the convenience of city life, since Rajpur Road is only 10 minutes away. Plus, Pacific is situated right under the mountains - in fact, from our flat, it seems as if one can just touch the mountains. We’ve always wanted to stay in the mountains but without the difficulties associated with living in the hills, so we feel Pacific is a great alternative and one gets the feeling of living in the mountains. Secondly, since it’s away from the main city, the pollution levels are extremely low - and low pollution is our main reason for moving out of the Delhi. Thirdly, since we don’t know anyone in the city and being a small family of just 4 persons, we feel a lot more safe and secure living in a society in a new city. Fourth, Pacific has a lot of amenities, so we don’t have to bother running around the city taking our son from one class to another - he can play tennis, basketball, badminton, golf, table tennis etc. in the society itself. There’s also a swimming pool, so he can swim as well in the summer months. Fifth, Pacific has a dedicated 2 km long jogging track, which is very handy for our post-dinner walks. Plus, our son can easily ride his bicycle on this track without having to worry about vehicular traffic. Hope this helps.
