Lived the district half of my life, also skated more than 2/3 of my life and I can tell you I've walked down that block carrying the board hundreds of times but skated it only less than 10 times in my life. It's so fast you really have to go all the way, no stopping midways, asphalt is sketchy, is dotted with many surface gutters and there's a bar at the bottom where people take smoke on the street and you really can't take it to the driving lanes either as it's all block run. If you make it to the bottom you either run to a guard rail or you shoot into a blind corner. I took pleasure in bombing the many other streets around there, but this specific one is never fun cruising but always a risky challenge. Won't even say anything about the grind part of it 😳

That ender. I don't think most people realise how fast he was going; a running start and eight subsequent pushes. And not only “safely” jumping on the rail by doing a boardslide, but jumping over for a lipslide. Everything must be executed near perfect. Holy shit.

Everything now is either incredibly gnarly or a combo. There are no regular single tricks anymore. There has to be "something to it". Either a bump up to it or on something awkward if there isn't going to be more than one movie in the trick. Long gone are the days where you could just nollie front krook a ledge for a single trick.
