Thanks for the comparison video, but running the test at room temps (with batteries that sat at 32F overnight) and actually running it at 32F are two different things. I have a strong feeling that in the latter case Li-On will last shorter (perhaps much shorter)

Currently using a Nocqua 10ah, 1.5lbs in the kayak. Never thought I would notice a difference in a few pounds. The first time to the beach I noticed the weight difference. Is it worth the cost difference? To me yes. Could I live with out it? Also Yes but not sorry of the switch. However only a year in using the Lithium. It powers a Lowrance TI 5 Totalscan all day and is the size of the palm of your hand.

Nice! I think for early season ice fishing before I can get out on my sled it'll be worth the weight savings.

Good video. Tested at room temp? Curious if low temps affect the lead acid or lithium more.

Tested at 32°F so we'll see how they do at 10°

I fished in around -5 degrees fahrenheit today, battery lasted for 10 min and the cold turned it off, and it wouldnt turn on. Got back home warmed up the battery and it turned back with almost full battery. So i guess cold kills the battery.

@@adriankubik6425 In those temps I am not surprised. That is what I heard would happen so thanks for the update to this. We have those temps here right now too so I am hoping to test it out again soon.

It does and seeing this test at lower temps would be very useful as I see lot of people talking about using Li-On batteries on ice fishing.
