Excellent. It's areally tricky subject this one. I've found it very hard finding methods of dealing with it. You've done welL! BRAVO!

PS did you noticed when you showed it changing the keep options in the paragraph style @8:25 it also added the return of that prior paragraph. While it didn do that when you changed it using the paragraph panel. Thats is weird!

@Fancylooks Hey Fancy don't get upset. I'll have a look at the volumes, but I love country and western music so much I cant bare to live without it! Remember most of what I say at the start is quite silly, and really not worth listening to. Only occasionally do I have some interesting things to say.

ugh. you know, I came here looking for technical information on how to fix the issue. I did NOT expect to find someone attempting to win an oscar for being overly dramatic.

I am upset about that loud music in the back that does not let me understand your interesting words and sentences at the beginning! Thank you very much for telling us all the details in InDesign.

And I'm upset about missing footnotes when importing Word documents in CS4. Wondering if it has been changed in CS5, cause in CS4 Adobe did nothing with it. Sometimes changing to docx help, but sometimes not so much. It's no problem whey you're having 20, 50 or even 100 footnotes in a book, but when I do academic books with 1000 or more, then I'm having more work then in CS3. :(

@mchughm1 Please, don't take me so seriously, I was only paraphrasing your words at the beginning to tell you what I thought, sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. I truly appreciate all the effort you put in your tutorials and is just that I am interested in all that you can say, even if they are silly words.

@benebrius Thank you Bene Baby, This topic really stitches up some good people, Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I actually love the paragraph composer, it is a highly misunderstood technology. Lets all learn to love it. :-)

@Fancylooks Hey Fancy, trust me I don't take anything seriously, I especially love your comments the most! I even love @serczykowski comments even though he thinks this is the tech support channel :-) Awesome!

Here's some more drama... Why is in English the meaning of these words widow and orphan swapped compared to Dutch typography? In Dutch a widow is the last line of a paragraph on a new page. An orphan is a new line of a paragraph at the bottom of a page. Wonder why these are swapped?

Loved the video, very helpful. Hated your intro, found it really annoying for some reason, skipped past it. Orphans - a word alone on the next line. Widows - a word alone on the NEXT PAGE. That's the difference. No need to swap back and forth between them - it isn't a matter of opinion. Thanks for the video, figure out better intros. Have a good one.
