Just want to say that even though this video is 4 years old, it's been tremendously helpful for me as I've been working with many numbered lists at work. The way I was taught was inputting the numbers manually and using "cmd + \" to set up indents underneath each number. This doesn't help with numbered lists going beyond 9, as it doesn't right indent the numbers to line them up by period. I'm so glad I found this tutorial as it changes my workflow entirely. This is so much easier and makes edits easy.

This was so helpful. I was just looking for a quick reminder of how to align on the decimal, since I hadn't needed to do it in a while, but I learned something new -- that holding down shift when I want to move the inside visual triangle will let it move independently! Both of those triangles always moving in tandem has been a thorn in my side for years. I didn't know there was a way to disconnect them while moving the inside one. That is a great tip that I can really use! Thanks!

At 1.24 in the video you have the paragraph style options panel open and are in the bullets and numbering section. At the bottom of panel is the Bullet or Number Position. The first three I know what they do but what is the Tab Position? I find that sometimes when working in this section the Tab Position is greyed out and other times it allows you to put in a number but I have never figured out exactly what it does.
