Notice how none of these "beautiful India" videos focus on the cities themselves. For a good reason. Take a walk through Delhi or Varanasi and all of a sudden it's not so beautiful anymore. India has a lot of work to do before it can consider itself to be "beautiful". Yes it has potential and the people are intelligent, but we have a lot of work to do in improving our social standards and culture. We have to invest, develop, and make sacrifices, and not just pat ourselves on the back for having nice foggy mountains (which btw are not "created" by Indians, they were just there to begin with, there's no "pride" to be taken from that)

I havent watched this yet, but as a geology buff i'm eager to see the Western Ghats and the nearby plateaus, along with some of the awesome southern temples hand carved from the gargantuan black basalt deposits left by the Deccan Traps at the end of the Jurassic ... I hope some of it is included in this vid. The deccan traps were the second greatest known volcanic fissure eruption in ALL of Earth's geologic history - a deposit spanning hundreds of thousands of square miles to a depth of thousands of feet deep. It's mindbogglingly huge, and roughly coincided with the mass extinction asteroid that killed the dinosaurs and 90% of all other life on Earth, and covered large swaths of western, central, and southern India. 1:42 You can see some of the incredible black basalt deposits I mentioned in the walls forming the waterfall. Notice how it filled in around all the lighter colored rock. Cool eh ? Very hard dense rock - even harder than Manhattan Schist. I suspect a lot of Hindu Shivalings are made from either the Black Basalt or Black Granite ... the latter probably polishes better.

@@ScenicRelaxationFilms Yeah, ive never had the opportunity to visit that waterfall, but I can guess at the local geologic history by the appearance: c.66 million years ago basaltic lava (black rock) flooded into and completely filled an existing stone ravine (beige rock), then the resulting plateau slowly uplifted over the eons since then, until sometime in the last couple million years a river cut a new deep ravine through the combined structure ... kinda like scooping into a pint of ice cream that was half vanilla and half chocolate. In this case, the lighter colored rock is essentially a fossilized jagged/broken canyon filled in by the darker rock. I can easily imagine a jagged section of today's Grand Canyon preserved in the same reverse relief.
