Bihar is the most backward area in India, it is because of the negligence of the government policies towards its progress. In ancient time Rajgir was the capital of powerful MAGADH EMPIRE which unite all smaller kingdoms to form bharatvarsh which stood against the powerful Iranian Achaemenid empire, Alexander, Seleucid empire and Sassanids empire. A lot of interesting place in Rajgir like Rajgir stupa, Venu math, son bhandar, hot springs, Jain temples, old caves, old shiva temples (2500-3000 years old), Naga temples, king bimbisara fort, king Ajatshatru's jail, King jarasandh's arena, jungle trail, king Ajatshatru's mousulum, Ropeway, Pawapuri water temple, uruvela forest etc and many more....
