A very regrettable part of our history. In this context I would like to write about an experience I had in Vancouver. I had gone to a Chinese restaurant there but strangely I felt the food tasted like Calcutta Chinese cuisine. So I asked the Chinese waiter if they had a cook from Calcutta. He said - we are all from Calcutta. When they found that I was from Calcutta the whole Chinese staff came to greet me and started to talk with me in Bengali. I could see they missed Calcutta.

How did you forget Assamse Chinese community ? It very sad to see how BBC had ignored the famous Assamse novel " MAKAM" ( China Town is the name of the english translated book ) . Sorry to say but it is really very sad to see how BBC totally ignored the existence of Chinese Assamse people in this episode.
