The Indian defence ministry confirmed that it was a misfire. There was no war head tho, so it was a test fire. Slightly embarrassing for us and Pakistan too. We stayed mum for as long as we could to avoid accountability and Pakistan couldn't detect it until it was more than 100 kms inside Pakistan. Luckily, nobody died. So, we might be good. God bless the people who were shit scared for their lives due to the missile.

Ill placed as India already acknowledged the missile lunch and regretted. Your path calculation is incorrect. The curved path is not taken into account. It should be~190 km +124 km in 406 sec makes average speed 2800kmph. Since there would be some time taken for acceleration, the peak speed would be well close to 3700 kmph during its cruise. So no doubt it was Brahmos and there was no present air defence system available to intercept it, let laone Pak. So they had no other option but to watch it in those 6 mins. Most likely it was sent purposefully to assess the response and tracking capability of Pak.

My interpretation from this news was that India would have purposely fired the missile just to show the enemy that it's fast enough for them to shoot it down. This would have sent chills down the Pakistan army's spine. India's intention was not to attack hence they didn't place the warhead in the missile.

You can't fire a missile into another country as a show of capability. Pakistan could have easily retaliated by nuking Indian cities.
