The government has banned caste system, young people are creating regular campaigns to educate people about the vices of caste system, but what I hate is that, we don't care about caste,but the older people, not all though and sadly who has the right to interfere in our decisions still can't let go of it. Since the 1970, Philippines have always had more than 90% literacy rate (2020 is 98%) compared with India's 75% (2020), we have gone from $1000 more gdp per capita than India to $1500 more in 2020 (filipino: $3650, India: $2100). And how did we do it? We use all brains. Philippines is a FILIPINO protectionist economy (meaning all large infrastructure and companies have to be majority filipino owned - this is in our constitution), compare this with Indonesia and Malaysia where large assets and companies can be foreign owned. This is why unlike many other asian countries, Philippines can't fall under China's debt trap. Philippines doesn't manufacture, and only recently allowed mining of natural resources (before, we were the only country to ban mining of our rich, natural resource land). Have respect for yourself, for your country and for your fellow filipinos. We are not indianised, americanised, spanishised, whatever. We are filipinos and our economy grew using only our brains.
