India has a Big Dhruv Rathee Problem NOT Stray Dogs

If you live in India, there rarely would've been a single day passing by without you witnessing a stray dog abuse news. Still, there are KZbinrs like Dhruv Rathee, blaming them for being everywhere (I don't know where else they will go?), and for attacking different people. So this video is my response, to his false claims, data, and the un-humane solution he talked about in his "India has a Big Stray Dogs Problem" video.
For Rabies:
Vaccination of Dogs: So they won't become rabid, and transfer to others
Awareness/Education: This is for Parents, don't teach your kid that whenever you see a dog pick up the stone, and throw it at him, and obviously don't yourself do it. Instead, teach them to understand dogs: in what state of mind they are, if they are fighting with each other keep distance, if they are sitting calmly, just mind you're business and go wherever you are going, if they approach you is not to bite, is to smell, but if you start running they will chase you, stand calmly, take a deep breath, they will smell and go.
Immunization of People: Get your whole family anti-rabies, so if in case a dog bit you, you stay safe. Rabies is 100% preventable, but it happened, it's 100% fatal.
For Stray Dog Over Population:
Provide Basic Care: Provide Food, also make them friendly, guide your kids to give them food, don't harm, vaccinate, if injured do something about it
Sterilize: Remember both males and females must get sterilized, otherwise sterilized females won't have the desire to mate, and unsterilized male dogs will get frustrated because they want to mate
Responsible Dog Ownership: If you own a stray, don't abuse it, don't abandon it.

Hey, im currently facing an issue by the residents of my society who want to stop people from feeding stray dogs. The stupid RWA has designed the "feeding spot" outside the society, does that mean people should take dogs out for food in their car? They have an issue with stray dog's barking and pooping. I mean its the natural process, how do humans forget that the place is theirs as much as it's ours. I have 4 stray dogs, i've taken care of them since the day they were born. I used to make them sleep in my room during the cold weather. I got them vaccinated. And these people have no compassion for other species because they think they are superior species. They want to relocate the dogs and i've told them it's illegal and animals are protected under various sections of the constitution. I think it's time we take responsibility and understand that we're literally no better than any species and we must learn to COEXIST with nature.

No, I’m not. And, please don’t create misconceptions. I really love your videos, but, sir this time either you didn’t understand Dhruv’s content or you’ve misinterpreted his content. Government collect taxes from selling liquors for cow welfare, which accounted ₹44 cores in UP, ₹240 cores in Rajasthan, etc. annually. Then why the government is not using that money for vaccinating stray dogs. It even won’t be a tough job as the number of stray dogs are not so high like you’ve said.

A female dog was left in our neighbourhood before 8 years..it was rainy season so she used to come at our home at night from spaces in gate..after somedays we started giving her some food and then slowly we liked her so much she was well behaved and playful.. now from last 8 years she is with our family as a member and on july 20th this cycle will complete 9 years. i am very happy with our decision to adopt her (rani her name).

I didnt care about dogs, dont hate them, dont love them. But the society I live in, has increased number of stray dogs. One just cannot cross one street to another without being chased. Now yesterday my elderly dad on a bike was not just chased by was bitten by these strays. Why wouldn’t I feel that this is a problem? Just a few days back, someone broke their legs crashing the bike in on coming traffic because he was trying to avoid these chasing dogs. I just dont know what to do…

Like your videos brother. I am 19 from Lucknow …my family has been rescuing and adopting street dogs since long before I was born. We at max had 6 at a time when I was 13…and bcz 4 of them came home at the same time as me😂…we were like brothers. Sadly the last one of them passed away in 2018. Now we have 3 at the time and the whole colony has rescued 20+ street dogs and have been given them proper shots, healthcare and shelter. Your videos have become a voice for these souls.

Thanks for making this video brother. Though I hope you understand and respect the fear of people like me, who are just scared of dogs. Whether Rabies infected or not, I JUST DON'T WANT TO BE BITTEN BY ANY DOG BROTHER. I just feel scared and intimidated if a dog approaches me to smell and recognize. I am from Pune. Few Years back I also sometimes use to Feed Street Dogs. But in 2017 I want to my friend house where I saw a Street dog biting 5 year old in the face as people near by we all rushed to save it was pretty hard to get dog of that child. When I saw the Face of that Child I felt so horrible. The dog bite his left chick also injuring his eyes. The Child I remember was just playing his grandmother was also there. After somedays my friend told me The Boy died. His mother was absolutely distroyed bcoz she just lost her Husband few years back. He told me she want into very bad depression. It was also in News. I am seeing after Court order everybody is saying it is unfair and crazy order. But I feel maybe we should stop for second and actually listen to other side that will be the thing. I am also dog feeder when I had conservation with people of other side I realised that it NOT ABOUT FEEDING It is about WHERE you feed them Where we feed them dog usually roam around that area or that building that creates Friction so I don't feed them near buildings. Me and My friends found a spots to feed them and nobody has complaint I think we need Self Reflection. We have responsibility towards not just towards Animals but also the People. Just a opinion 🙏🙏🙏

As someone who has been feeding street dogs and love them a lot I have problem more with the sick mentality of middle class people then with dogs themselves. Street dogs are very nice and people who say that they shit on their doors is not true all the time. I have 4 to 5 dogs whom I personally feed everyday and not once I have seen them shitting them in street. Infact, they go to empty plot of lands shit there. The disgusting behavior of these middle class people is that when they see dog suffering from disease or having burns rather then helping the dog they just think "The disgusting street dogs". This mentality is sickening and you are correct brother. The problem are people themselves and not necessarily dogs. I have never been bitten by any stray dogs and I have faced myself in night time dogs barking angrily on me but the problem is that people don't know how to deal with dogs in a friendly way. They just form there own opinion and stupidly act and then throw entire blame on dogs.

In 2004 we let a street dog take shelter in our house during rains and since that day, he never stayed anywhere. We gave him name Sheru and he died in 2018. I was so depressed after he passed away. He never came inside the house, always stayed on the verandah. Plus, never let anyone inside and was happy each time we used to come back home. Last year we adopted a female lab.

I face the same problem when I go out for a walk with my Golden Retriever. My dog is so gentle and friendly to everyone but these street dogs would never let her walk peacefully. Rabies is not the only fear with street dogs. Sadly in my society I can't let my 3 year old twins out of my sight because of aggressive stray dogs. Three of them are regular biters. It's a genuine problem for individuals and families with children. What is the solution for this?...I'm not a dog hater, but a humane solution is needed. Let me respond: You’ve asked whats the solution, guide your twins with you to have a biscuit, and give then to strays, no need to touch them or anything. If you cant take them close, instead of throwing stones at them, throw some biscuits. They’ll become familiar, and when your kids are alone also, they wont bite or attack. Why would they. I believe breeding of breed pets should be banned. Both stray,pet dogs should be sterilized. At least 10 year jail should be given for abandoning the pet. Ngos(after proper inspection) should be allowed and funded to help dogs. Sterilization in my opinion is a great solution. Govt should make it insanely expensive to purchase dogs which will encourage adopting of stray dogs. Animal cruelties should be punished by life imprisonment or at least 10 years jail depending on the severity

stray dog is a very big problems. i have been attacked several times by street dogs. They are too dangerous. Once I hitted by a motorbike just because of the attack of a dog, I could faced a big injury but there were sand so I survived. I could not go for a morning Run only because of the fear of street dog. Many death happened because of these dogs. I know there are so many dog lover but they will understand when they or there family member will get attacked or will be seriously injured or dead. Govt should take action for these stray dogs. Too dangerous man..

Wow, are you asking a question or making judgement? A dog who is Rabid, Authorities should euthanize him, I repeat only euthanize a dog whos rabid. And for humans to be safe against rabies, which is 100% preventable, they can vaccinate local dogs, they must be aware/educated about dog behavior, and can vaccinate themselves against rabies, if living in a high risk area. But promoting to kill strays because only 20,000 people left the world is not humane in any sense.

Co-existence with kindness and sensibility would not cost a penny. About the cost of care and vaccines, then while the societies in cities have such hefty MAINTENANCE charges without much maintenance, a few more bucks and a less corrupt council of such societies would easily solve the problem.
