As Sri Lankans, we deeply appreciate the assistance India has provided through a much-needed credit line, which has brought relief to the innocent people of Sri Lanka. However, it is shameful that Sri Lankan politicians have put our motherland in such a situation that we are forced to beg for help from all over the world. It is disheartening to see that while they rob the people of Sri Lanka, their families live a luxurious life. Their narrow-mindedness and short-sightedness have led them to prioritize their political ambitions over the long-term welfare of the country. Ok but still they bend down to the pressure of the Chinese. These words can change any minute. This is international politics and the very nature of politics is self - centeredness and change. ANI, HT, Republic, Times Now etc. seem not to be getting many news that draws attention of the public to increase their views. They simply encash on views and subscriptions while compromising quality news. *When will our Indians learn to point out this ???* There are many in corporate circles who say that they have stopped reading printed media and watching KZbin channels. Instead they go direct to the source of the news, look at it from different perspectives, put two on two together and then arrive at their respective conclusions. No sane person would depend on the media now which only spells "business" . The quality of TOI, Hindu among other printed media has fallen sharply at least since 2010. More ads. less content which have no quality news. Even news-reading and journalism have taken a blow. It is like entertainment - you don't wish to visit the theatres , you turn on news channels and watch the fact less emotion driven fights.
