This interview of Dr. Jaishankar's will be used as a part of the curriculum to teach foreign secretaries and ministers on how to answer questions diplomatically, rationally and logically. We will see diplomats from other countries giving similar answers he gave in this interview to defend their stand and will indeed sound like broken record. :)) The interviewer had absolutely no idea how to counter any his answers as she was dead sure that she would corner him. She got flustered towards the end and her tone quickly changed to retort as she realized that she got schooled and educated by Dr. S.J.

What a presence of mind and clarity of thoughts... His counter examples just won a billion hearts. As an African you must be knowing of the fact that how much hypocrite Europe really is. I still remember the moment when Omicron variant was found in South Africa and the whole world cornered South Africa on the issue and the West did so much racism against them. At that time India stood up for Africa not just because it was India's responsibility but also because we Indians see Africans as our brothers and sisters. We share the same history(colonialism), we share a bond and we have good people to people connections. A lot of Africans come to India for their studies and they've benefited a lot by staying here. India will always stand for the African and the developing world against the West. We are buying oil from Russia because oil prices in India are already high and our people can't survive in this situation if the oil prices remain so high. Until recently we were buying oil from Saudi Arabia so it makes no sense to just accuse India of funding the war when European nations like Germany, Austria, Hungary and others are continuously purchasing Russian oil and gas
@thatguyvik2 жыл бұрын
Yeah i do know how hypocritical they can be in so many different situations and what you are pointing at is true just like what Dr Jaishankar said, everything doesn’t evolve around Europe but they want it to and if there’s an issue somewhere else they can turn a blind eye just like your example so yeah I understand

After a long time, India has an articulate, knowledgeable, level-headed foreign minister They also have a strong Prime Minister and a government which has charted their own course and not kowtow to foreign interests. Way to go India! Those two reporters or appropriately inquisitors, continue to use the same rhetoric over and over, dont they understand simple English arguments!

Dr. Jai Shankar was brutally blunt in his response. This was as it should be as I see the logo of “ The Print “ behind on the wall , which is a known anti indian channel along with another channel called “ the quint” . I thoroughly enjoyed the way he tore her arguments into pieces.
