Pant's stumping failure in 49th. over of Thikasana is suspicious. While in earlier 5-6 stumping attempts he was lightning fast, in this stumping he brought the ball all the way up slowly to bails level when he could have stumped it at shin level where he collected the ball. Thicksana was out of crease by about 4-5 feet. In the T 20I serise also he missed one stumping by pausing for a few milliseconds before dislodging the stumps. In IPL I have noticed 2-3 instances of not taking reviews where he must have seen the batsman out caught/stumped or LBW. Is he involved in spot fixing? I don't understand why this is a big deal, for the last 10 years we have been winning nearly all bilateral series but continuously lost the ICC finals and semis. But now after losing this series that too in a condition if any other team would have batted 2nd would have lost. So it's not a big deal, but yes all we can say is we could have batted a bit well against spin. Like our batters were completely unable to read the line. One difference that is clearly visible in Rahul and Gambhir era is, Gambhir is doing a lot of chop and changes while R. Dravid believed in consistency. I mean demoting S Iyer and then KL Rahul's from their batting position is a surprise for me. They were batting at 4 and 5 and not just batting, they were batting fairly well enough. First you demote them and then say that they were the major reasons and also you drop someone like KL Rahul. Frankly speaking, I don't think it's the right mentality...
