India Oil Minister Sees $80 Oil as ‘Safer Bet’ for Consumers

India Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri worries about “organized chaos” in parts of the world due to rising oil prices and says his country will buy oil from wherever it can get the cheapest prices but will stay clear of cheap Iranian crude while sanctions are in place. He speaks with Yousef Gamal El-Din at the Adipec conference in Abu Dhabi.

The East India company played it much cleverer than sweating gasping refining russian oil but that was probably morally wrong in the end.

I love Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri. I must admit as well that I have exceptional confidence in the current Government. If there are no drastic changes, the next 20 years shall be prosperous for India

Brent crude rate at 70 USD per barrel is an ideal price for both producers of crude oil and consumers of petroleum products.

.I don't agree with that. The price of a barrel of oil that achieves global prosperity must not exceed $70 or less.

the problem is that .. the approach is un constrained by any moral values.. buying russian oil for example.. he says .. we are poor we buy cheapest oil and i’m smart because i know a german fellow called hagel .. hagel thought through the problems of reality and meaning 250 years ago.

Do you know how much natural gas Europe buys from Russia? First check it out then question India.

@@awakened_soul_2987 .. yes .. that was and is a mistake.. not many energy ministers in europe would talk about that with pride like the turbanned gentleman does .. something to think about in india too rather than dismiss the moral value like you appear to do.

China banned Australian coal but then realised they were missing out on a good price.. no Australian is proud of doing business with china or pakistan .. prefer india given democratic values but definitely not proud like the turbanned gentleman here.

He spoke about what India did two years ago but what India is going to do he had no answer to. Worse, towards the end he implied it'll not be able to do anything at all.
