Bro. In 1980s INR was equal to 2.5 PKR . Now it is almost around 4pkr. So , it is a really big margin When you want to compare it with india. Because per capita income of pak is around 1000 $ lesser than india and the poverty index of pak is taking a deep dive whereas ind has now officially the biggest middle class with less than 1% extreme poverty. And the purchasing power of Indian citizens is 3rd most in the world. Whereas pak doesn’t even stands near. Taking all this and many other Criteria's which i am not mentioning here. It is far more than just 1 INR = 3 PKR . It is alot ….

It's about export and import of a country and also the interest rate decided by federation bank of America ( which manages printing and so on of dollars). 1.Foreign direct investment bahar se jitna aata hai utna Market me dollars zyada aate usse local currency strong hota hai aur dollar ki value kam ( Like market me kisi cheez ka production zyada ho to rate automatically kam ho jata hai) 2. More export hota hai to country me dollars badte hai jisse ruppe aur strong hota hai 3. More import krne se dollars country se bahar jata jisse dollars strong hota hai local currency weak. So it's depends on how strong is your economy!!

What is so difficult to understand the reason why? Pakistan has almost no exports and imports everything, including food grains, and this is supposed to be a country of farmers with a lot of very fertile land and huge river's, but they import grain from Ukraine and Russia!! In india only Punjab and Haryana produce more food grains than the whole of Pakistan. India imports crude oil, refines it into product's and exports those finished products to the world. And Pakistan? They take petrol and diesel on credit from the Saudis and UAE and never pay the entire amount on time. They build fancy expressways with expensive Chinese loans, and those highways are built by Chinese companies, then their elite drive expensive imported car's using imported fuel on those highways. So basically, Pakistan exports nothing ( except jihad) and imports everything, and they finance this unviable lifestyle by taking endless loans and grants from US. Saudi. UAE and China. India imports whatever is not available in our own country, like crude oil or gold, but we export enough to pay for our imports and we have a surplus of 600 bn USD. Pakistan has 5bn, 3bn Imf bailout and 2bn handout from Saudi and UAE. Simple facts, no mafia shafiia BS.

I feel very sad for Pakistan.. i still remember in 2016 1INR was 1.50PKR now in 2023 it 3.7PKR.. if we take the same time dollar it was 67 INR now it is 84 INR increased by 17* INR but for Pakistan it has raised exponentially somewhere around 104Rupees to 284PKR. Very sad for any country economy

I dunno why Pakistani are so fixated on exchange rate. Having lower or higher exchange rate doesn't mean anything unless you take into account purchasing power parity and wages. If you peeps could just focus on economy and reforms, dollar rate will take care of itself. The uncertainty in Pakistan is adding a lot to PKR exchange.
