Also, unlike his claim the tyranny of Aus & Eng boards existed until almost early 2000’s and not just the 80’s n 90’s, we remember the monkey-gate scandal, the way our players used tb mistreated off the field too. Not the biggest fan of franchise cricket, but IPL did empower us. Also, yes its a business model based on cricket, but no it doesn’t run on fixing. If fixing results & making money was the idea, RCB is literally the biggest brand to come out of it, it winning a trophy would’ve been as big a phenomenon as anything in Indian cricket. The engagement - the buzz would be crazy, doesn’t work like that. Plus it has churned genuine t20 talents fr us, we can literally have 3-4 proper t20 teams to compete anywhere. So isn’t futile too.

As an Indian fan, unlike his claims its not Babar’s wicket that is sign of victory fr us. It is always Fakhar Zaman, irrespective of his form we’ve seen how he singlehandedly could change games, after all these years its the same. Another one? Shaheen Afridi, any decent batter could’ve chased 152 in ‘Dewbai’ that day, it was him who singlehandedly sealed this game fr you in the 1st innings. No matter his form, when he comes out to bowl first over, we are nervous.

On Virat: * This guy claims abt his ODI average lowering post CT. He averages 58 after almost 300 games, that’s literally the best ever. Even if his next 10 innings are a duck, its not dropping by some crazy margin (CT max can have 5 games) * ‘kohli’s weakness was exposed by Anderson he never recovered’ idiot, everyone always knew 5th stump is his weakness, in the beginning too Kohli was famous for his flick & not cover drive. After Eng tour 2014 he worked hard on that to get that flawless coverdrive & only around 2020 did that re-appear.

@@cricrish you specifically mentioned averages & stats, hence i made that argument. Yes, it became a mainstream fact in 2014 tour but it existed previously too. And eversince then Kohli fought it, so unlike your words, he did recover from that with his own efforts. Such weaknesses don’t disappear, again a fact. So there were flashes but 2018 was one of his peak years so didn’t pose much of a problem. It was late 2019 and especially 2020 when it re-emerged as a pattern, its been the worst this year.

On Gill: ‘he scored all tons in Ahmedabad’ the audacity of this twitter fan! Gill has 12 intl tons, only 2 of which were scored in Ahmedabad. His 2 tons in SL & Ban were scored on rank-turners. Alongwith many in India that came on spin friendly pitches of Chennai & Vizag. He has 90’s on spin tracks too along with the 91 in Brisbane. True, Jaiswal is top notch, he was the PoTT in 2020 U19 WC, made century in SF against Pak, but guess what? Gill won the same in 2018 U19 WC alongwith scoring 100 in SF against Pak bowling led by Shaheen. So his fame didn’t arrive with his ‘face’, yeah maybe that’s the best criticism you could come up with. Inconsistency is his issue big time, but that Ahmedabad joke is as stupid as your guest.

Okay to reply you brother I’m the guest who was invited on their podcast and with all due respect this podcast was recorded in a fun banter way & not any serious discussion, since we were on call we had to cover all things we could and this is a joke which is famous in India & even in Pakistan and not to shy away the matches you are referring were terrific and his bat did the talking but He is an Ahmedabad bully bcoz of his IPL runs as well Other than that he lacks consistency big time & like i said he did not do anything to br dropped but okay jaiswal at top will give a left/right combo 😅

Yes, maybe its even true abt IPL but in your own words thats not even serious, so why bother? This guy was U12, U16 n Junior cricketer of the Year in BCCI’s official awards, its bcz he had a history of consistent big knocks in fc cricket. Then it was the u19 wc where even after being the PoTT, it was Shaw who got all the limelight. He neither got his India debut that soon nor his first IPL game. His debut series itself was iconic+ he continued to do well in Ranji. That led to all the backing in Tests, also simultaneously he was doing so well in ODIs that made more sense to further invest on him.
