@@kumarsaurav307 Is mutual funds great for 35 years time horizon?
@kumarsaurav3073 жыл бұрын
@@WorldgeopoliticsbyPrashant Usually mutual funds become safer as the time horizon increases. Having said that, 35 years is very very long period and the world may look very different from what it looks like today. I would suggest that you also keep a tab on two things, 1. Instead of only looking at 35 years, try to map the maturity amount to separate goals and take the money out when the goal is achieved. 2. Check the performance of the mutual funds once a year (at least), if not quarterly or half yearly.

Nice and lucid explanation. Point well drawn home that it doesn’t makes practical sense to just provide a list of so called best rated/ performing funds of so and so year, rather give the investors a food for thought and provide them with a set of parameters and help them analyse for themselves the schemes which best suits them. Commendable job as always. Thank you. Keep coming with such simple, lucid but nevertheless very useful videos.

Q1 means quartile 1 i.e. is the fund's performance amongst the top 25% of the performers in that particular category or universe of funds. Similarly, Q2 is quartile 2 (26% to 50%), Q3 is 51% to 75% and Q4 is 76% and beyond. Q1>Q2>Q3>Q4 in terms of performance.

Deep research has done as usual by Shankar. I strongly believe Index Funds are the ultimate solution for most investors, especially DIY investors. However, I have some doubts. I've decided to understand Macro fundamentals for asset allocation and leave Micro on the fund manager. What are elements do you think I should consider on Macro for my purpose(asset allocation) because there's a lot like oil price, interest rate, market movements, monetary policy, and so on. And most importantly how can anyone implement those practically? Please suggest some reliable sources for following this Infos. because watching news channels or newspapers is confusing and time-consuming.
