I remember seeing the Wagah border ceremony on Michael Palin's Himalaya series and I was delighted to see it for real in 2019. I had to remind myself that I'm not Indian as I was totally immersed in the joy and pride shown by the crowds for their amazing country I was cheering and manically flag waving and I didn't want it to end, but it did and I was in a buzz for days afterwards. Did you visit the Partition museum? That was really interesting we spent a good few hours in there. I gave the Jalianwallah Bagh a miss though as we had just been to the Golden Temple where I was so moved by the compassion and equality and serenity of the place that it just felt wrong to go to somewhere were an act of such cruelty and arrogance had happened Anyway thanks for another great vlog and best wishes on your travels.

The Jallianwala (also spelled Jallianwalla) Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919. A large, peaceful crowd had gathered at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, British India.... The British Gov have some stuff to answer for over the years... Britain has never formally apologised for the massacre but expressed "deep regret" in 2019....

Wow! My poppa was 🇮🇳 by birth, went to South Africa 🇿🇦 with the British Army, hopped on a boat with some Aussies, because an illegal immigrant married my Aussie granny yr 1917. That began our Aussie/Anglo family. I was born Australian 1947, the yr of the Indian/Pakistan divide! Therefore, from that moment on, my Indian roots became Pakistani! Divided and lost to us until this day, unfortunately. Seeing you guys at the border somehow pulled on my heartstrings! We've been as far as the Rajasthan/Pakistan border during our Indian travel experience. And remember the issues that we faced security wise there. Well done you, getting to see that amazing show! Extraordinary! I loved the tweaking of the moustache 😅 Thanks for this video. Remarkable.

The border guards were very entertaining. You're right, "only in India". I magine there was some special event happening in the Golden Temple because when we went there 40 years ago, we got into the temple and were able to lounge and listen to prayers being song, not that many folk were lined up to see it...interesting. They were feeding lots of folk then too.😍😍

Sikhism's whole spirituality or enlightenment of God is by singing. Singing the Lord's glories. By Singing and Listening to the name of the Lord, one can get to the path which is above than good and bad, joy and sorrows. One can Reach to the Creator. The Sikhs you were watching in Blue Uniform will rule 1 day. Mark my Words. Those are known as Khalsa made by their spiritual gurus.

I am so happy to see another fabulous video and education of India. Although it is sad to leave Pete behind, you donated to an animal shelter. The invites you get are because of the caring individuals you are and what you both bring to us in not only the beautiful scenery but, indeed, the people where they are. Oh, that baked sweet potato on an open steamed fire. I would love mine with vegan butter! Jenine looks lovely in her maroon and winter hat. I unfortunately can not tolerate spicy and hot food. What a beautiful room and enjoying some tea. What a journey today. How different is getting a call with a number to enter customs? See. When you least expect and do not expect anything, your generosity in donating to Pete touches hearts. The lady soldiers are gorgeous. Wow their military vehicle is huge. Wow entering the stadium like celebrities. The military teams and show off is a show to see. Thank you for the view. Wow the competition of the India and Pakistan sides. Oh my when the gates open and soldiers faced each other and shook hands. Now that is a Border Security that is amazing. Truly shows the people and the love of their millitary. Fabulous.

The Wagah border show is supposed to be a show of aggression and power, but with cheer, celebration and a handshake. Like some of our food- sour and sweet together . Indo-Pak is supposed to be the most dangerous flashpoint in the world, but considering what's going on in the world today , there's the fact that we haven't thrown missiles at each other for many, many decades if ever. When an Indian visits Pakistan he's received with tremendous love and vice versa.
