Today we are going to travel on the Delhi Meerut RRTS from New Ashok Nagar RRTS station as finally Delhi is Connected with Meerut through RRTS. We are going to travel around 19 kms on Delhi Meerut Rapid Rail System and end our journey at Ghaziabad RRTS Station.
Delhi is a city and a union territory of India. It is bordered by Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. The NCT covers an area of 1,484 sq km (573 sq mi). It is the second-wealthiest city after Mumbai in India, with a total wealth of $450 billion and home to 18 billionaires and 23,000 millionaires. Delhi has the highest per capita GDP in India with ₹3,29,000 (US$4,600) and total GDP stood at ₹6.86 lakh crore (US$96 billion). Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region. The Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (Delhi-Meerut RRTS) is an 82.15 km (51.05 mi) long semi-high speed rail corridor currently under construction which will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. It is one of the three rapid rail corridors planned under Phase I of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). With a maximum speed of 180 km/h (111.85 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project will cost ₹30,274 crore (US$3.8 billion) and will have 24 stations, including two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.

rode on it 2-3 times last year. felt like a breeze. this seemed more advanced and smoother than the delhi airport express metro line. possibly this is the most advanced rail system in india currently ( all rail types included ) . Alstom India in particular has done a brilliant job.
