To be considered middle class in India means you're earning the "medium income" compared with others living in India, which is very low compared to the rest of the world. This is so true. When I was in Singapore, there were people from Gujarat (could tell by their language) who jumped the queue and were being loud. The Chinese were well-behaved and kept to themselves. I've been to Hong Kong and Singapore a lot. Hong Kong is better than Singapore in term of tourism. Don't be mislead by the number of India's middle class: 600 million (0:50). 600 million is very dubious considering 2/3 of Indians works in agriculture as farmers making ₹10K a month ($119.21). You can find this on google. Also, the wealth of the middle class income in India is not the same compared to the middle class of other countries. To be considered middle class in India means you're earning the "medium income" compared with others living in India, which is very low compared to the rest of the world.
