9:37 This train has more stoppages in Punjab, just one (Ambala) in Haryana state before it reaches to NDLS. All these stations give good revenues. Also this train is dedicated for Punjab so more stops in Punjab. So yes, it is shatabdi but with more than usual number of stoppages in Punjab. Still it has very good avg speed. Due to high demand on this route there are 2 shatabdi from ASR to NDLS one in the evening and one in the morning. Similarly for KALKA NDLS route. 15:20 Sirhind is called junction because one line is branched from here for Fatehgarh Sahib, Morinda, At Morinda it gets connected into Chandigarh-Morinda-Ropar-Una-Amb Andora line

Great effort as always but I wouldn't call that luxury in any shape or form. Our service standards are pretty low that what is commonly just regular chair ticket in other countries is labeled in India as luxury. I am being critical of Indian railways here. They need to step up their game seriously. When will our trains match the standards of German, French, Italian or Japanese trains? I have travelled in economy class seats and this is not it. Show the ambition if you want to beat developed countries in the west. Your ambition will be the message about your capabilities and intent to the entrie world.

It may be expensive to you due to exchange rate but if you were there, earning in their currency, you wouldn't feel the pinch at all. Now look at China, their train travel is much inexpensive and widely available for their citizens. So it's not just a matter of difference of currency value between countries. Which means if the government is truly determined to give world class facilities to its citizens, it can. Here it just falls short. The tax burden on the middle class is the highest in the world for our population numbers. And still they cannot provide us the standards like the rest of the world. Is your life any less than the equivalent American or Italian or Japanese? Do you live longer per chance? Then why should you expect differently? Or do you want to keep paying taxes for the government schemes which they use to collect votes on your expense? What public health care or public education did you actually use for yourself or your children? So where is the taxes benefitting the middle class? These vande bharat or such trains are just knee jerk reactions. But overall little progress if India says it wants to become developed by 2040.
