After an Australian Army Sikh delegation was spotted at a pro-Khalistan event in that country, the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said it has taken up the matter with the Australian government. Actually most of the NRI sikhs who comes to west and UAE before 1996 were refugee sikhs that comes to west from to save themselves from extrajudicial killings by Punjab police and extortion racket run by police as if people do not pay they kill rich sikhs and named them khalistanis !!many police officers politicians settled personal score with their enemies .... Sikh means shishya (life-long learner), and Guru Gobind Singh described us as saint warriors, who fight when there is oppression against any 'Dharma'. There is a need for a seperate nation state only when we see ourselves different from dharmas like Jainism, Buddhism and Hinduism. Which of-course is not true. We see humanity as One and the world as our home. If the separatists really think Khalistan is the only solution, then they should demand the whole of Punjab (15% in India and the rest which lies on the other side of the border), similar to what Maharaja Ranjit Singh envisioned. Australia and Canada does not even blink an eye as to what India says. The Sikhs are within their rights to express their opinions and feelings as they wish. They have a powerful political presence in these countries and have the right to criticize any government or country they wish. If the Indian government has some issues with Punjabis, my advice is to invest in Punjab and help develop it, that is the best solution.

Who doesn’t judge anyone by their look, culture, religion, ethnicity, etc. I can proudly say that i am a khalistani. All your big leaders like gandhi, nehru, patel, They promised us that we will give Punjab a different identity, a different statehood but they betrayed us. We didn’t get anything instead they attacked on us and killed our approximiately over 100,000 people. Tell me how sikhs are save in india. How can someone live without their identity? India is a nation which believes in majority power. Majority of people in india are hindus, what was the last time hindus were killed by the government of india? We had seen so many violence on small communities like Sikh, Jain, and buddhist but never heard about any massacre on hindus people. Even in constitution, you put us under Hindus. People are too free nowadays and too influenced by social media. People who focus on their lives don't give a damn about having a separate country for their communities unless they've been too oppressed. No doubt sikh community is one of the most respected and well looked upon communities in India, there have been many instances against them and by them but I don't think any sikh would want to choose the cowards way by running from the issues and dreaming for a separate country. Valour isn't always in fighting, if you are a sikh and feeling oppressed anyhow, use your teachings given to you and deal with it... Sikh are the most courageous people, but sadly children grow with what the social media feeds them and sadly divisions in societies all over the world are going to increase... God bless us.
