Also, research facilities for fields such as agriculture, biotechnology, medicine and tribal welfare are also going to be built. It is not simply a statue for tourist attraction. Also, a commemoration to Sardar Patel to whom the whole of India owes a debt for unifying 550+ princely states into one union. He basically did for India in a fraction of a time what Otto von Bismarck did for Germany in decades. This man most certainly deserves a commemoration of this kind!

Sardar Patel was the man who unified india.. After British left creating chaos. India was prone to disintegrate into 100 different Nations like in Europe. This one man was capable of uniting every Indian State and form what is today Modern India. It is a befitting tribute to all Indians in memory of this occasion - The Statue to celebrate the unity of India.
