After your bag gets checked-in, it goes though security scan in the airport. If you have a lay-over at any airport, there as well you bags gets scanned. In the scanning, if they see anything un-usual/suspicious or even if they just have a doubt that there might be something suspicous, they will open your bag to check it. If your bag has TSA lock, they have they key to open it. They will open it, check and lock it again. But if there's no TSA lock, they will break the lock and they will not be responsible for damages. If you don't want to buy bags with TSA lock, becuase they're too expensive of you might want to use the bags you already have. You can buy TSA lock online and use that to lock any bag you have.

Sorry to say but they don't allowed extra bag.. people will bring definitely but emirates not allowed extra bag only 23-23-7 kg allow 3 piece ..I had uncle with me so we cover my bag with him ...you can say I used scheme 😅..

You can divide weight..they allowed us 23-23-7 so I divided 7kg into 2 bags .. but I was carrying extra weights in big check -in bags which I paid their extra 4kg for Rs 4000 near about

Hello Sir, I have one doubt I have booked two separate flights. One is from Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi in Indigo. Second is from Abu Dhabi to Toronto via Amman in Jordanian Airlines. The stopover time is 6 hrs from 0:25 to 6:55 AM. Do I need transit visa of UAE because both are completely different reservations. And what about baggage, will i have to change it by myself or airline will do it Also when I applied for Transit visa they(uae official) denied saying that transit time is less than 8 hours.
