Hello, I am flying to Canada on a visitor visa. I have booked my onward and return tickets at a time. They have same PNR. While going to canada from India i have layover at Frankfurt. and while coming back to india from canada i have layover at Munich. My query is do they consider layovers on my whole journey which will be 2 or treat these as seperate journeys. Also, Do I need a transit visa?I will be travelling in a month.

You've very little time to clear security checks. So make sure to be first in line. Transit visa isn't required in ur case

Don't know about Cat rules but you can travel till your visa stamp validity. Also only one layover is allowed. If 2 then u need a visa

Could you stay overnight inside the airport (without going through immigration) to wait for the connecting flight (I saw your short video of people sleeping, so I guessed you stayed inside?). Also, were there any rules to follow when staying overnight inside the airport? I’m flying via Frankfurt too in a couple of months and would like to know if I could just sleep on the benches lol. you can roam inside the airport - all shops close by 8-9 pm - tough to sleep on those benches as they are slippery and no such rules. Water is not allowed during immigration

Your Schengen visa is valid for entry via Zurich as your major stay period is in Italy. You do not need additional transit visa for Switzerland.
