We are and indian vegetarian family of 10 including 3 seniors, 5 adults and 2 kids. We want to spend 4 o 5 nights in south Iceland in May 2025 . We want to stay in one location for 3 or4 nights to explore . Last night or first night may be in Reykjavik. Can you suggest a good itinerary and central place to stay.

That sounds like an amazing trip! If you’re planning to stay in South Iceland for 3-4 nights, I’d suggest basing yourself in either Hvolsvöllur or Selfoss. Both are great central locations and make it super easy to explore all the main attractions. For example, one day you could visit the Golden Circle-Þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Another day, you could check out Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls and head to Vík for the Black Sand Beach. If you’re up for it, a day trip to the Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón) and Diamond Beach is totally worth it. For the first or last night, staying in Reykjavik is a good idea. You can relax, explore the city, and maybe check out places like Hallgrímskirkja or Harpa. For food, I’d recommend stopping by Bonus or Kronan grocery stores-they’ve got plenty of vegetarian options. There are also a few Indian restaurants in Reykjavik if you’re in the mood for something familiar. Let me know if you need more details or help planning!

We are a family of 3 seniors, 5 adults and 2 kids and want to spend 4 nights in Iceland. We want to cover southern part of Iceland in june or July 2025. Can you suggest a good itinerary?
@TheDesiAmericanАй бұрын
For your 4-night trip to the southern part of Iceland, I recommend starting with the Golden Circle on your first day. You can explore Þingvellir National Park, the famous Geysir Hot Springs, and Gullfoss Waterfall. On the second day, head along the stunning South Coast, where you can visit Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, and enjoy the dramatic black sand beach at Reynisfjara. Day three can be all about exploring Vatnajökull National Park and the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, along with a visit to the nearby Diamond Beach. For your last day, take your time driving back to Reykjavik, with stops at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon and maybe even the iconic Sólheimasandur plane wreck. With the Midnight Sun in June and July, you'll have plenty of daylight to enjoy it all! Renting a larger vehicle will make your trip more comfortable for the whole family. I booked all the activities in advance! Some were through Troll Expeditions, and you can also check out TripAdvisor or GetYourGuide for other options.

Hi Your video is very informative and will certainly be helpful to plan Iceland. I needed some information 1. Is Indian license valid to rent a car? 2. Do we have to register the drone camera on any website? Thanks

Hey, Thank you for watching, I'm glad the video was informative for planning your Iceland trip! Yes, an Indian driver's license is usually valid for renting a car in Iceland. However, you will need an international driving permit obtained from India. As for drones, it's mandatory to register them on the Icelandic Transport Authority's website before flying. Have a wonderful time exploring Iceland :)

Hi, I am travelling to Iceland next week. I want to rent a car. I have a valid Indian driving License. Will that be sufficient to rent a car?
@TheDesiAmerican4 ай бұрын
To rent a car in Iceland with an Indian license, you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) from India. You can apply for the IDP at your local RTO, specifying the countries you're visiting and the duration of your stay. Also, make sure to get an extract of your Indian driving license. Safe travels and enjoy your Iceland adventure :)

Hi I need help regarding schengan..I have applied through Spain vfs to get schengan visa..so I will stay in Spain one day with same entry point and 4 days I will stay in Iceland and come back to italy for 2 days..Will they reject my visa in immigration as the stay days is less in Spain? What’s was your entry point? And was it single entry or multiple entry
@TheDesiAmerican6 ай бұрын
No need to worry if you have all the required documents. When applying for a Schengen visa, it is important to apply through the country where you will spend the most time, or if that is the same, your first point of entry. Since you applied through Spain and that is where you will enter, it is acceptable even if you only stay there for one day. Generally, immigration won't reject your visa if your travel plans align with what you provided in your application. Remember to bring all your supporting documents, such as hotel bookings and your return flight ticket, to demonstrate your travel plans. As for your question, I entered through Finland with a single entry visa. Just make sure that your visa type matches your travel needs.
