Not the best idea. Things are ok with a friendly govt in BD but at the wrong time, this will only make things worse. The Siliguri Corridor is about 60 km wide and that is enough for 10 rail lines and 4 separate 6-lane highways connecting the Northeast. If the govt is serious, it will transform this corridor into an army camp which is not entirely the case now. Especially because the area is fully encroached by illegal Bangladeshis.
